Stone Italiana has entered the world of mosaic tiles with the introduction of the "Mosaico Italiano" collection, bringing together different elements such as quartz, marble and glass to create a kaleidoscope of colours, textures and patterns.
The extraordinary technical characteristics of quartz based agglomerates, also apply to the mosaic format making it non-porous, acid resistant and suitable for all internal spaces. It is also suitable for heavy duty traffic areas where non-slip surfaces are required. The Mosaico Italiano collections broaden the sope of the traditional mosaic art by assembling endless combination of colours textures and sizes. The final result is a contempary modern expression of this old decorative technique.
Covering walls and floors with "Mosaico Italiano" is speedy and accurate and some of the problems typically associated with the installation of mosaics have been eliminated. A higher quality of finish can now be assured when using this revolutionary new technique.
The mosaic sheets, with their individual creative patterns are "pre-finished" with the pre-grouted ( grey or off white ) self-supporting system. As there is no groutting after installation, final cleaning operation is extremely easy. There is also the option of Mosaic tiles on a mesh backing with no grouting.
Stone Italiana's production capacity allows for a variety of sizes from 1.5 x 1.5 cm mosaic tiles to a maximum of 300 x 140 cm giving the flexibility to create never before seen combinations. Mixing and matching of slabs, tiles and mosaics are now possible - kitchen bench tops with splashbacks, stair treads with stairs and floor using the same materials and / or same colour.
